Making a brief introduction
- The machine bed, worktable, gantry, and sliding track are all the basic parts of the CNC Router Machine. As for CNC Router Machine, these parts play a supporting role. Most of these parts are cast iron and steel welded parts.
- Generally speaking, these parts inevitably generate residual internal stress during the machining process. Owning to external forces, vibrations and changes of temperature, the residual stress will gradually relax and redistribute over time in the processing of using. In that case, deformation occurs and the original accuracy would lost.
- In that circumstance, aging treatments are adopted for solve the above problem. Such as natural aging, thermal aging, and vibration aging. With its powerful effect, thermal aging has been widely used for CNC Router Machines.

Stress relief annealing
- Due to the uneven wall thickness of the casting, effect forces and tissue stresses are generated in the process of heating and cooling.
- On the other hand, large parts are subject to residual stresses after machining. Please notice that all these internal stresses must be eliminated.
- The stress-free annealing usually has a heating temperature of 500 to 550 degree for 2 to 8 hours. This process can eliminate 90~95% of the internal stress of the casting without changing the cast iron structure.
Bed casting
- Bed casting as a large casting must be heat treated to improve their performance and improve the intrinsic quality of cast iron castings.
- Metal heat treatment is one of the important processes in mechanical manufacturing.
- Compared with other processing methods, heat treatment generally does not change the shape of the workpiece. It is characterized by improved internal quality of the workpiece.
